Chinese Medicine Perspective

  • Liver channel opens its orifice at Eyes. The eyes reflect the state of the mind, Spirit and essence. Many eye conditions can be treated through liver.
  • Kidney channel opens its orifice at Ears. Ear conditions such as Tinnitus, Meniere’s disease, vertigo, deafness often can be treated through kidney.
  • Lung channel opens its orifices at Nose. Repeated invasions of external wind impair the diffusing and descending of Lung qi. Nasal conditions such as sinusitis, rhinitis often can be treated through lung.
  • Heart channel opens its orifice at tongue. Too much heart fire caused from stress, anxiety and over thinking can lead to tongue ulcer.
  • Spleen channel opens its orifice at mouth. Spleen deficiency can cause immune system impaired with the symptoms of mouth ulcer, low grade fever, insomnia, loose stools, poor appetite, etc.
  • Throat is the gate of lung and stomach; it is closely relevant to Kidney. Exterior pathogenic invasion can cause sore throat. But sore throat also can be the signal of kidney problems.
